Strengths:
Nice look, good price, worth more than the average head unit.
Great sound reproduction

Weaknesses:
Could pick up stations a little better

Summary:
Even though I paid way to much for a refurbished unit, it is still worth the price I payed. Definatly recommened if you're not looking for huge fancy unit

Summary:
This player is absolutely amazing. I bought it for $150 on the web and it sounds better than the $1000 system a good friend of mine has (just don't tell HIM that!) It replicates the mids and highs in amazing detail, so if you enjoy all the brass, woodwinds, and snares in your music, this is your choice. Even the bass is nice and defined with no muddiness. I nearly had an orgasm listening to the Cream's "Strange Brew" album. For those of you that enjoy a very warm or bass-heavy sound, this player probably isn't for you, but if you're a true audiophile who enjoys hearing the true timbre of each acoustic element, I can't imagine wanting anything more out of a deck. Plus, it just looks cool. Also, on a final note, this player deserves a three-way speaker. Though I'm sure it'll sound fine with a two-way, you get the most bang for your buck with a three-way because it really decodes the entire width of the audible frequences (as far as I can tell). Please feel free to email me if you'd like any more specifics. All in all, a definate 5 out of 5, I don't know how JVC can top Sony and Kenwood in mid to low-end units, but keep their prices great. But whatever their secret is, I hope they keep on doing it!
