Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $179.00 from Circuit City

Year / Model Reviewed:
 KDC-319

Summary:
Great cd player but does not work well with my car. There is no bass coming out of my speakers. Right now I could buy new speakers or put my stock deck back in and buy a portible cd player and car adapter.

Strengths:
Nice design and look!

Weaknesses:
Better tech support!!!!!!

Review 4 of 6

Price Paid:  $140.00 from Sound Domain

Summary:
Unit has the same problem another reviewer noted. It doesn't come on when the faceplate is installed. Happens about 2-3 times a month. You have to reset the unit to get it to work, and since I have the security code set I have to input it everytime it happens. The unit sounds great and works great except for that one nagging problem.

Strengths:
Great sound, inexpensive.

Weaknesses:
Intermittent power problem.

Review 5 of 6

Price Paid:  $169.00 from Best Buy

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Summary:
Never worked right from the start. It had an intermitten problem where it would not turn on when the faceplate was inserted. Took it back to the installer 3 times, and he could not figure out what was wrong with it. Sounded great when it did work. I returned it for a Pioneer DEH-3400, much happier now. The Pioneer has worked flawlessly. Even the Store Sales Person said "buy a Pioneer, no one ever returns a Pioneer"

Strengths:
Disc naming feature if you ever get a CD changer. The tuner is incrdibly sensitive. It picks up stations from afar.

Weaknesses:
Never worked properly.

Similar Products Used:
Sony head units, Pioneer, and Panasonic
