Price Paid:  $275.00 from sound advice

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 kenwood kdc-x559

Summary:
cool feature-packed cd player. good power output if you don't want to amp your other speakers. built-in crossovers and equalizer are very user friendly. 4.5 volt outputs are a nice feature. non-motorized, fold-down faceplate is much easier and sturdier than old "MASK" set up. a good all around unit

Strengths:
cool display, very adjustable cross-over and equalizer, good power output from internal amplifier.

Weaknesses:
unless you are looking at the manual, some features are a pain to remember how to access/adjust. paint on volume switch rubs off easy, mine was discolored less than 6 months after i bought it.
