Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $128.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 CDX-PD6

Summary:
Overall, you will NOT be disappointed with this product. It may retail for $500 US, but I got mine at a clearance price of $199 CDN (which is only $128 USA)! I got a GREAT deal for a GREAT product! I could never go without this baby!

Strengths:
This thing looks and works beautifully! You can switch discs from this unit, or if your head unit supports - change them from your deck. Eject All discs or one at a time. This thing looks beautiful and fits right in your dash space! It's the same size of a regular sized head unit. I've got this paired with a Pioneer KEH-P5900, which definitely accents the Premier changer. Not to mention, Premier has a 2 year warranty on electronics!

Weaknesses:
No complaints whatsoever.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $330.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1999 Subaru Legacy Wagon

Summary:
This is the only product of its kind on the market right now.

Strengths:
In-dash 6 CD player, can be controlled by Pioneer HU; very fast switching between disks & tracks; sounds great; and I just can't get this baby to skip. This is Pioneer's best kept secret. I drive this with the Pioneer KEH 5900 so I can listen to books on tape. Very easy to install - I first tried to get Circuit City to install it, but even though they are a Pioneer vendor, they didn't believe this system exists. Its hard to believe a unit the size of a cassette deck and load 6 CDs and perform so well.

Weaknesses:
No theft protection, very hard to find. Local Pioneer dealers never heard of it.

Similar Products Used:
Compared Pioneer to Alpine, Clarion & Kenwood (including the eXceleron series) HUs. Pioneer was the hands-down winner for sound and usability. After that decision, selecting the CDX-PD6 was a no-brainer.
