Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $140.00 from sounddomain.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 DEH-P3600

Strengths:
Low price very good features good sound quality

Weaknesses:
no weaknesses that i can find

Summary:
I love this cd receiver. It picks up radio stations very well. It made my stock speakers sound way better but then I replace the speaker with Pioneer 6X9's in the rear and Blaupunkt 3 1/2's in the dash and they sound excellent. The receiver is easy to use but you have look at the manual to see all the features because it has alot. I recommend this receiver if you want very good sound at a low price. The remote control is very useful and the rear pre-amp output can be switched to subwoofer and that works great with my kicker subwoofers.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $162.00 from Wal-Mart

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 P3600

Strengths:
The tuner, no skips yet, huge sound spectrum control. The volume control knobs. I don't like buttons for volume control. The remote is cool and can control many functions as well.

Weaknesses:
The manual. Read, read, and read some more. It has been awhile since I have dabbled in stereos and they could use better definitions of what all this unit can do.

Summary:
One of the many features I really like about this unit is the infinite sound control flexibility it has. I started off with stock speakers and I was shocked to hear the improvement in sound definition it produced. I have since replaced one pair of speakers with a pair of Infinity's, with another pair to follow. The last improvement will be a sub, probably a single 10". I had a comfort level with Pioneer, I had listened to several and read many different reviews even though there were none on the 3600 I figured what was said about the 3500 was close enough and I have not been disappointed. I cannot wait to get the second pair of new speakers and a sub. I'm not really into spl, but sq is a must and this system with its range of sound control will surely produce!
