So many features, if you can't make it sound good, you need a new hobby. Effective, clean useful EQ and crossovers Strong Pre-outs

Weakness:

Weak feeling faceplate Cannot shut off internal Amp I can admit, I wouldn't pay $800 Bucks for it...but at 500 and less its a steal

After using a deck with NO features for two years, but fantastic sound quality (Clarion HX-D10), I decided to return to my roots and see if the Premier could improve my SQ still further. Those that say this deck offers no SQ are mistaken, once properly set up, I find it loses very littly to my old deck with its 24-bitDAs. The Time alignment and AutoEQ work wonderfully, the tuner is stronger, and this deck, while occasionally brittle, sounds awesome despite the vast electronic dependency. Signal to Noise is not that important either-this deck still has 90+Db dynamic range, and better channel seperation to boot. Also, the 6.5V preouts are awesome...you can really drive your system to max with those puppies.

Strength:

13 band EQ Seperate crossovers for BOTH Front/Rear with selectable frequency to boot. Full control over Sub from the deck. Pre-Outs for every channel Sound-Staging controls that actually work. And you have to admit the display is the most appealing display out there. Buy the PC-Link kit, you can have all kinds of fun with it. Nothing is more fun than busting on one of your friends with the display of your radio. Think of the possibilities, it can display almost anything, and they cant turn it off!!

Weakness:

Soooo many adjustments for sound that it takes quite a while to get the whole system tuned in. The autoEQ did not work well at all for me, but setting it up manually did.

I am somewhat biased in that I have owned Pioneer only decks since 1995. This one is the best one so far. You really have to visit the Pioneer site, or a local sound shop to appreciate the overflowing bundle of features this deck has to offer. I will not waste the space here to list them all, but hands down this is the best Pioneer deck I have ever owned.

Everything.. Looks, Quality.. 50*4... 4 V pre outs... multi functions for prefered subwoofer settings.. ( reverse, normal phase) its got everything... screen savers are great...

Weakness:

hmmm if there was to be a weakness i would be more concerned about the face plate cracking everytime u remove it.. but if ur carefull this can be avoided... other than that.. NOPEZZZ

All i can say is DAYUMMMM.. this deck is sooooooooo phat... i have previously owned JVC S680, and a pioneer DEH-P6400... the 6400 was phat at the time.. but i got bored so i got this beautiful piece of art.. All i can say is WOW!!! the display is great.. sound quality is amazing.. the 4 volt preout gets my bd1000 mono block amp going.. and the bass literally moves my hair.. :D.. bottom line.. PHAT..

Strength:

ummm cutesy wootsy display.. internal amp plays decent 18watts per channel (22 listed is all marketing noob)

Weakness:

--sound quality --inability to turn internal amp off --weak internal crossovers --stupid DSP soundfields --utterly retarded auto EQ feature --

First off this deck is not for audiophile enthusiasts who crave consistent sound quality. This deck is basically a oooh aaah colorful LCD screen with a bunch of buttons. 94 S/N ratio tells it all, The auto EQ feature create a falselike EQ determination for the car's interior. DSP soundfields create an artificial sounding ambience which I didnt like at all. Overall sound quality is ok at best, my previous Blaupunkt CD70 HU with it's 108 S/N ratio opened up new musical notes and new sound ranges in my CDs that I never knew were in there. So basically..if you're a audi noob who likes all flash and okok sound quality then Pioneer 9300 is for you. If you are a audio person who wants to hear how a sound engineer intended.. then I suggest(save your damn money fool!) and look into Alpine 7990, Sony CDX-CD90, Nakamichi CD700... all of these Headunits have S/N ratio above 110.

Strength:

Greatly display, A lot of features. Differential Sounds Mode and EQ.

Weakness:

The sound quality isn''t as satisfactory as I expected.

This unit displays is awesome. A lot of Features that is better than other head units I had owned. But the sounds quality isn''t as good as Alpine head units but better Sony CDX-M770. And I rated the same as Kenwood''s head unit(sound quality) This price is ok, but I would prefer to spend this money at Alpine receiver.

Good sound quality, versatile, powerful unit, many cool features, cool looking, great all around deck!

Weakness:

The pause button is a pain in the ass, you have to hit two seperate funtion keys just to pause the CD player.

This deck is tits. Best deck I have owned so far. Blows my ol''Kenwood Excelon KDCX811 away, along with the other two head units I have owned! Don''t think I will be replacing this deck anytime soon. I strongly recommend this deck.
