Review 1 of 11 , from LA,CA,USA

Price Paid:  $169.00 from Best Buy

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1997 Accord

Strengths:
Easy EQ(just dont tweak with it and its easy). OEL Display, which will catch anyones attention. 4 RCA outputs, And a Cell Phone intergration (if you can get it to work)

Weaknesses:
SAME PIONEER remote, really flat. The unit gets very complicated when you access the advanced controls.

Summary:
I actually went into the market looking at the DEH-3500, but i came across the 6400 and i was like...NICE both the unit and the price. The 3500 was 180 and the new 6500 was 275, so the 6400 was just ripe(pricewise). Hey I have no general complaints about the unit. Its very solid and the graphics are great. Sound is SWEET on all spectrums and frequencies. It was a big step up from my older units. Looks real nice at night too.

Review 3 of 11

Price Paid:  $275.00 from circuit city

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Strengths:
graphics. sq and control

Weaknesses:
nothing

Summary:
This deck is amazing!! The sound is unbeleivable, I can turn the volume all the way up to 50 and it makes my speakers scream, with no distortion at all. I can control the bass from my mtx81000d amp and my subs. you can customize different setting. So you can have great sound quality, then at the press of a button pounding bass. oh yeah and the graphics are crazy. at night people in the car behind you can see it clearly, its bright, like I had a neon light

Review 4 of 11 , from Charlotte, N.C.

Price Paid:  $279.00 from Car Audiomasters

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Pioneer PREMIER DEH-P6400

Strengths:
Awesome sound, high power, FM radio sound quality is good, XM-ready, so many features and audio adjustments.

Weaknesses:
Detachable faceplate is sometimes difficult to remove.

Summary:
This head unit rocks!!! The sound quality is excellent, not to forget the good power. The organic EL display is a very nice feature to have, great graphics! I couldn't compare it to any other deck that I've owned, and it's such a great buy.

Similar Products Used:
Sony XPLoD CD-Reciever is no comparison, low sound quality and hardly any audio adjustments.

Review 5 of 11 , from Charlotte, NC

Price Paid:  $150.00 from Local Shop

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002/ DEH-6400

Strengths:
SUBWOOFER control, very versatile, detachable face, AUX input, 22watts RMS x 4, SUB pre-out, graphics, remote control

Weaknesses:
the price for one brand new, can't upgrade graphics to PREMIER graphics

Summary:
Look, this unit should be compared to Kenwood's competition cd-receiver. It controls everything... highs, mids, lows... even the woofers completly!!! I have a 6 month baby girl... and about 2000 watts in the back of my Expedition... I can turn the bass OFF completly... plus it versitile. You can adjust the unit to sound any way you want it to, with ease, Pioneer made it user friendly... Look, I got rid of my in-dash flip-out monitor with TV receiver just to have this dolphin screen to enhance my system... the AUX mode is on the same level as CD mode... power and perfection!!!! I will never have another in dash unit other than this one!!!!
