Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $220.00 from web

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 sony cdx mp30

Summary:
This unit is good value for money. It works reliably and has good fidelity. Controls are all digital. I prefer analog controls but these work and are fine for the cost benefits. I have the cdx mp70 as well, but for the value I will buy my daughter a "30" for her first car.

Strengths:
cost reliability quality sound good control functions general competence is high

Weaknesses:
all digital controls i prefer roatry analogs for tuning and volume

Similar Products Used:
CDX MP70 and Aiwa

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $250.00 from A&B Sound

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Sony CDX-MP30

Summary:
I have been very happy with this product (paid in $CDN). It plays MP3's just fine, burned audio cds etc. It is quite durable as well. I once left the face plate on the hood of my car after a busy day bringing in groceries or whatever, forgot it was there, and it started to rain. It was outside like that for a few hours before someone told me about it. I let it dry for a few days, and it still works great!

Strengths:
durable. does what I paid the store for - plays music!

Weaknesses:
none for the price.

Similar Products Used:
none - this is the first car stereo i've ever bought that didn't come with the car.
