Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $160.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 Sony CDX/CA660X ES

Strengths:
everything

Weaknesses:
Clock is hard to see in the sunlight and it is really small

Summary:
The difference between that and the 650 is 5.5 volt preamp outputs. It also is an ES. Better componants all around I love this cd player. I use the cd changer. I used it with two amps and no speakers connected to the onboard amplifier. Never have had a problem with it. I have used it in three different vehicles.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $300.00 from Mobile Tel

Year / Model Reviewed:
 CDX-CA660X

Strengths:
Very simple to upgrade with a cd changer or minidisk player. Just plug and play stuff..

Weaknesses:
Pain to get an amplifier to work with it.

Summary:
Pretty good headunit. The only problem I had was it needed a lot or work to be able to install an amplifier, as the rca cables get disabled when you use the speaker wires from the back. Otherwise, a decent product. No problems with it so far.

Strengths:
Easy to Use. Colorful. Good overall Product..

Weaknesses:
Distored at high volume. Better surge protectors..burned it up on a 150 amp amplifier.

Summary:
Good Product..dont really know what the difference is btwn this and the 650 except the price difference.
