Review 1 of 13

Price Paid:  $15.00 from craigslist.org

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 ERE G180

Strengths:
Everything!

Weaknesses:
Small levers.

Summary:
I have the IVA C801 multimedia station with the DVA 5205 dvd player along with PPI dcx 300.2 powering a pair of JL Audio TR 6.5" up front and TR 5.25" in rear deck and PPI dcx 500.2 powering a pair of Kicker 05 CVR 12's in a ported box. But with the ERE G180, the difference is amazing! Get this unit! IT's that good! The bass hit crisper and harder, with the adjustable crossover frequencies, gain, and off switch for the police, and you can adjust the 11 bands to suit your ears! Now I am looking for more for future vehicles. Too bad they don't make them any more. Oh yeah, it also has the BBE integrated into it! 5 stars!

Review 4 of 13 , from New Windsor NY

Price Paid:  $199.00 from internet

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Strengths:
BBE, 3 preouts, sub croosover, stereo/mono switch for the sub,sub level. Not overwhelming, easy to use.

Weaknesses:
None

Summary:
Simple, if you don't have this EQ, go get it. It's that good. I use it with an Alpine 7618 deck in my 94 Z28 and they both fit in the dash nicely. This EQ will definitely take your system to the next level. I use it in conjunction with a Hifonics Zeus Z8000 5 channel amp, PPI 6-1/2 components(2 sets),an Alpine CD Shuttle 5959z, and an MTX Thunderform with (1) 10" MTX600 sub. It sounds incredible. The EQ works fantastic with this setup because with 3 preouts it allows me to run the sub in mono, creating a true 5 channel system. Every aspect of your system now becomes adjustable with the addition of this EQ. It made a great system even better. Worth every penny I paid for it.

Review 5 of 13 , from Atlanta, GA USA

Price Paid:  $210.00 from Internet

Strengths:
Sounds great and it''s easy to use. X-over is a plus.

Weaknesses:
No theft deterrent. Not digital. The slide levers are hard to control.

Summary:
This is by far the best part of my system. Paired with my Alpine CDA-7875 head unit, I don''t think you can find a better combination for the money. The sound quality is excellent and the unit is easy to use. The only thing I can really complain about is that the slide controls are hard to adjust. Knobs would be much better. You really have to play with it to get the sound you want, but once you get it set, it''s awesome. I have it installed in my Jeep Wrangler and it would be nice to have some kind of theft deterrent. Even after removing the face on the head unit, the EQ is very inviting. Maybe Alpine can come up with something. I would suggest this to anyone that wants to significantly increase the sound quality without a big investment.

Kenwood. The Alpine is much better.
