Review 3 of 4

Summary:
Let me tell you what...
I got that sucker for graduation one year, and at first I wasn't too impressed. Then I started messin' with the crossovers n' jargon, and as luck would have it, it made my lil' ol' system sound far better. My unit was around $300 but I feel that it is well worth the price, my friend.

Strengths:
I really dig the subwoofer control. When I turn it up, I think to myself, Gee, that's loud.

Weaknesses:
The other guy is right. When the ol' sunshine hits it, forget it. And even if you're wearin' sunglasses--it is even harder to read. Oh, and you just can't hook it up to speakers, either. You need dedicated amps for each of the three preamp outputs, word.

I've never used an EQ before, dog.

Review 4 of 4

Summary:
I paid $300 for it from Crutchfield. I do not know if it is worth that much, but it is an excellent piece of equipment when adding it to a show quality vehicle. I mainly got the EQ to be able to tweak and adjust the sound quality of my whole system in many different ways, and it does everything I expected it to do and more. It would be nice it if had a slightly higher signal to noise ratio. It's signal to noise ratio is only 88 dB, but I would recommend this unit to anyone wanting to greatly improve the sound quality of their system.

Strengths:
Digital display that responds to volume level. Attractive display at night. The electronic crossovers for front and rear speakers and the subwoofer. Also, the adjustable 10 dB boost for the subwoofer. Ability to store 3 different EQ curves.

Weaknesses:
Difficult to read when sun shines directly on display. Sometimes when reattaching faceplate the unit malfunctions and I have to take the face off and remount it.
