Price Paid:  $450.00 from EBAY

Summary:
I HAD THIS UNIT IN MY 300ZX, AND IT WAS A REAL HEAD TURNER. IT HAS 6.5 INCH LCD, WITH A REAL SHARP VIDEO IMAGE WHEN CONNECTED TO A VIDEO SOURCE. THIS WAS THE FIRST SCREEN I EVER HAD. I''M NORMALLY JUST INTO THE AUDIO PART OF MOBILE ELECTRONICS, BUT AS I GOT WISER AND DID A BIT OF HOMEWORK I DECIDED TO GET THIS UNIT FOR STARTERS. IT HAS THE AM/FM TUNER, LOUDNESS CONTROL AND Z-ENHANCEMENT FEATURE, CHANGER, TV TUNER, AND DSP CONTROLS. IT ALSO AS A DETACHABLE FACE PLATE WHEN THE MONITOR IS CLOSED. IT IS A SINGLE DIN UNIT WHICH IS VERY SIMPLE TO INSTALL LIKE A REGULAR RADIO/CD PLAYER. OVERALL THIS IS A GOOD STARTER PIECE JUST SO YOU CAN FEEL WHAT IT''S LIKE TO HAVE INDASH SCREEN.

Strengths:
GOOD VALUE FOR THE MONEY, SIMPLE INSTALLATION AND HOOKUP, LOOKS LIKE ORDINARY RADIO WITH SCREEN CLOSED, VERY GOOD DECOY. VERY SHARP PICTURE DIFFERENT VIEWING MODES CAPABLE OF CONTROLLING ALL ADD ONS THROUGH CENET CABLES.

Weaknesses:
WELL LET''S SEE HERE, NO RCA OUTPUTS THE ONLY WAY TO CONNECT AMPS IS PURCHASE THE DSP/EQ OR GET THE SPEAKER LEVEL LINE OUT CONVERTER(CHEAPEST METHOD), THE SCREEN IS SEMI- MOTORIZED, MEANING THE SCREEN EJECTS FROM THE UNIT, THEN YOU MANUALLY FLIP IT UPWARDS, I PREFER FULLY MOTORIZED(LOOKS MORE EXPENSIVE, AND IS), NO FIXED AUDIO/VIDEO INPUTS, YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE A SEPARATE ADAPTER TO GET A VIDEO SIGNAL, IF IT GETS REALLY COLD IN YOUR AREA THE UNIT WILL NOT POWER UP UNTIL THE INSIDE OF THE CAR WARMS UP USUALLY TAKES A WHILE, (KINDA EMBARASSING WHEN SOMEONE IS RIDING WITH YOU WHILE YOUR WAITING FOR THE UNIT TO COME ON, BOTH OF YOU JUST LOOKING AT IT LIKE ITS BROKE OR SOMETHING)LAST BUT PROBABLY NOT LEAST IS THE REMOTE WILL NOT WORK IF THE SCREEN IS CLOSED.

Price Paid:  $1000.00 from girlscouts of americ

Summary:
got this approx. a year ago. was so happy to be able to have a screen put in my very own car. watck movies, play video games etc. well, it came with a 6 disc-changer, maintains great picture quality, auto dims, 18 fm presets/6 am, motorized flip out (partially), 40x4...

Strengths:
picture is very well defined when using my ps2 or dvd. clean playing sound. z enhancer. when you retract the screen, it still looks like a fairly expensive radio.

Weaknesses:
well... here we go. there were no rca outputs, so amping up my subs and interiors would have been a pain if i hadn''t used jl audio amps. my only other gripe is the major one. it seems that in the winter time here in jersey, the clock can not hold time overnight. and in extreme cold (as we get here), it won''t turn on at all. fortunately it has a 2 yr warranty, but i have to send it back and it''s an unneeded burden.
