Price Paid:  $99.00 from sams club auction on

Year / Model Reviewed:
 99 an100

Strengths:
good audio cd playback what else dont know

Weaknesses:
cant contact company to activate software 24 / 7

Summary:
Simply stated I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new toy and it arrived friday night by ups. By saturday morning I was ready to play with it on the road. called the number on the disc and pressed option 1 and was told it was invalid. called the company and their closed. went to the web site to activate online and site is under construction. Can't seem to get this thing going regardless of what option I try. Well maybe it'll get better in the future. But am I willing to wait for that to happen. I own 35 trucks and was planning on installing these units in them.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $349.00

Strengths:
Very compact and powerful. Has wonderful re-routing features and is very easy to use and simple voice commands are used to get you from point A to point B without fail. Can play music CD's while traveling too!! Low cost as compared to systems of equal capabilities. Can be used to find services and landmarks as easily as asking a local.

Weaknesses:
In the more remote areas it will not offer much help...also it will give directions such as go toward main st., but in unfamiliar areas, you don't always know where main street is. No GPS add on feature yet which will then make it an enen more powerful guidance assistant.

Summary:
I use the AudioNav mainly because I am direction challenged, I will get lost at the drop of a hat. I was looking at expensive GPS systems that require taking your eyes off of the road to determine where you are. With the AudioNav a simple "Locate" request will tell you where you are and how far till your next action. The simple interaction feature and friendly responses make navigation through unfamiliar areas much easier and safer.
This is a great value and once the GPS add on feature is available, this will be a truly one stop solution to the wayward traveller.
