Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $70.00

Summary:
I was just looking for a simple replacement for by blown factory speaker. Compared to my originals, these Kenwoods offered more highs and bass than my factory ones, though I must admit, it's still not enough. I just bought a pair of eXcelon xR-600's and am ready to install them, so hopefully that adds a bit more kick. Anyway, the Kenwood 1676's are a decent speaker, but shop around and compare before you invest in them. There are definitly better ones out there.

Strengths:
Appearance is cool. Kenwood label

Weaknesses:
Rather weak bass. Not enough midrange

Similar Products Used:
My factory speakers. Heh, Heh.

Review 3 of 5

Summary:
Spend more money (or maybe even less) and buy something else. Dont waste your money here. There are many other 6.5" speakers out there that would provide better value than these.

Strengths:
You have to admit they do look good.

Weaknesses:
Unfortunately they sound like crap. They distort far too easily and produce little to no bass. The treble is good and for the most part clean, but the midrange is not clear and defined as it should be. I paid $70 for these im going to write it off as a dumb mistake. Next time ill read the reviews first.

Many - pioneer, kenwood (other), sony, blaupunkt etc

Review 4 of 5

Summary:
I paid $70 for 2 pairs. More than a waste of money. They ate up my nerves for months. I hate equalizing anything. They should sound right with no equalization, but nothing I did cured these. The trebble was good till about 15000hz or so then it jets up to the stratosphere and drives you insane. Midrange is nowhere, vocals are lost, upper midrange distorts, midbass is almost not there. What a horrible experience.

Strengths:
They look nice eh?

Weaknesses:
no midrange or midbass. Distort even w/o power and volume, tweeter has these highs that get on my nerves!

Similar Products Used:
Quite a few others. Heck, my old Blaupunkts sounded a LOT better and they were $20 less!

Review 5 of 5

Summary:
These speakers are terrible. They sound horrible. My factory speakers sounded better. I blew these speakers in less than a month, only powered by a pioneer DEH-P4000. I ended up buying pioneers instead. Much better. For $80, the kenwoods were a rip off.

Strengths:
The color looked good.

Weaknesses:
No bass, or mid bass. Distort easily. These speakers are terrible. They sound horrible. My factory speakers sounded better. I blew these speakers in less than a month, only powered by a pioneer DEH-P4000. I ended up buying pioneers instead. Much better.

Pioneer TS-1668
