Review 1 of 9

Price Paid:  $145.00 from www.wooferetc.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Mazda RX-8

Strengths:
Build quality
Appearance
Sound quality
Price (if you shop around)

Weaknesses:
Mounting depth if that is a concern (the speaker and the magnet are pretty big)

Summary:
I bought these after reading many reviews to compliment my components up front. Mounted on rear deck surrounded with Dynamat. After finally mounting they performed perfectly. I have 75 watts going to each and they are clean crisp, crisp with just the right amount of bass. These speakers can really handle some power, if I had cheaper components up front, I could easily see these speakers overpowering them. It was everything I was looking for in a speaker. Invest in sound deadening material. These speakers will bring out the rattles without it. I would definitely purchase again.

Review 2 of 9

Price Paid:  $130.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 693.5i

Strengths:
Loud, more bass, crisp

Weaknesses:
mounting bolts

Summary:
I finally found these speakers for 130 including shipping off ebay. Brand new factory sealed. Sound excellent definitely a noticeable difference from factory 6x9s heh. Can't wait for my 6 1/2 version of these come in this week and to get my 300/4 jl audio amp to power them.

Review 3 of 9

Price Paid:  $120.00 from ebay

Strengths:
tough durable speaker that sounds great.

Weaknesses:
mounting screws

Summary:
This is a very nice sounding speaker hooked up to an alpine amp that is only 50rms x 2. the speakers deliver a nice bass response with nice highs.I don't like the mounting screws with these speakers. if i had it to do over again i would have bought some others screws. I mounted these in a toyota echo, which was very different than the typical general motor mounting system that i am use to. I was tighting down the screw and the screw driver actually slipped and went down the speaker leaving only a scratch any other speaker it would had ripped.that alone shows how tought the speaker is.this has to be the best sounding 6x9 i had ever owned.

Review 4 of 9

Price Paid:  $130.00 from online

Strengths:
Very clear sound. hook it up to an amp and they come to life!!

Weaknesses:
None yet.

Summary:
I'm used to buying the higher model speakers, because i know cheap speakers sound crappy. But buying better speakers they tend to sound all sound the same to me until i picked these up. I personally can't really hear too much a difference between most speakers. These speakers i hooked up to 35watts rms and the sing!!! Sound quality and bass response is great for 6x9. I was very impressed..i drive more alot to enjoy the music.

Review 5 of 9

Price Paid:  $0.00

Strengths:
clear and clean sound at high volumes

Summary:
best quality for a 6x9 that ive ever heard.comes with external crossover. compared the reference series by infinity to these side by side and the quality of these is better. these speakers sound really clean. im powering each one with 82 watts rms from an alpine amp (mrvf540) and they sound amazing. however, if i go really really high..i start hearing slight poppings and cracks.. no distortion, just cracks.. i guess its too much power from the amp to the speakers... these are rated at 110rms...im only giving 82.... i think my amp is just too powerful. great sounding speakers. id recomend to anyone who wants a SQ system.
