Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $67.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001 Dodge Dakota

Summary:
Infinity Reference series 6 1/2" speakers are wonderfull. I have 2 pairs installed in my dakota and the sound is great. I also have 50x4 channel head unit that makes the speakers sound even better. They are the best speakers that i have found for the price. Next to component speakers, these sound great. If you want bass i would reccomend to get a sub because these speakers do not get the deep sounds that you can get from a sub. All in all, these speakers are a great buy.

Strengths:
sound quality, price

Weaknesses:
no low end sound

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $130.00 from Circuit City

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Summary:
I totally recommend these speakers! The sound quality that you can get out of them can be put into just one word.. AMAZING! These speakers have a swivel tweeter on them that you can angle just how you want them. If you aim them correctly, you can get pretty good imaging from these speakers. The mids are excellent on these speakers, although the highs are a little harsh seems how these speakers go up to around 25khz or something like that. Bass response is another story. The only thing I can tell you, is that if you want these speakers for bass, that's a no-go. These speakers do not put out ANY kind of low-end bass at all. The only type of bass they are capable of, are tight, punchy bass, but that is about it. also, these speakers sound best in an infinate baffle type enclosure (just in your door, not in any kind of enclosure) they are actually made NOT to go into an enclosure, so they sound even worse in an enclosure, than not in one. These speakers sound decent even off of head unit power, but to make these puppies really show their strength, I recommend getting a 50x2 amp for them. all in all, these speakers are worth it. I even payed an extra $30 so that I could get a THREE, THREE! year warranty on them. If they blow up, or just don't sound good, no matter what's wrong with them, they'll replace them (unless you intentionally blow them up.)

Strengths:
Awesome sound quality. Good Mid's and High's. People are impressed by how cheap they cost, and how great they sound!

Weaknesses:
Bass response is wimpy.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $90.00 from Circuit City

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Summary:
I installed these speakers into my 1993 Mazda Miata. I have them connected to a Pioneer DEH-P8200R and amplified by a USAcoustics USX-2050 50 watt amplifier. The sound quality out of these speakers are excellent. The bass response is good enough for what I need. They are tight and controlled, not boomy. The tweeters are a little bright for me, but can be easily compensated through the tone controls on the head unit. I've driven up the volume on these speakers and have yet to see them blow. All in all, I am very happy with these speakers and would recommend them to anyone.

Strengths:
Tight controlled bass, rotating tweeter.

Weaknesses:
Tweeters seem to be a little bright.

Pioneer, JBL

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $60.00 from FUTURESHOP

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Summary:
One of the best speakers in this price point. I have mine custom mounted with mdf in my front doors of my 97 Z24 .They are runing off of a pioneer DEHP7300 and amped by a sony moble ES 7547 4 chanel .They sound great. The unipivot tweater helps with your sound stage.

Strengths:
30% larger cone than most 6 1/2 speakers. Good price. I paid less because I sell them. Unipivot silk dome 2 year p/L . I can realey crank these speakers and they stay clean .

Weaknesses:
Can be hard to fit in some cars because of mounting depth. These speakers like to be run off an amp.
