from Ebay Year / Model Reviewed: 2004 572.5cf Strengths: Will take whatever you give them, very strong for their size, 100 RMS, great bass. The mids and highs are just right, no matter how much power you give them. Weaknesses: One of the older Kappas I had was not working right, but that was because of Circuit City. I STRONGLY recommend using the connectors that Infinity sends with the speakers. I would not solder to install these bad boys. Summary: These Kappas are a replacement for the 572.3's....also great speakers. I had Circuit City install the old pair, and they never sounded right. I took them out of my truck, and found out that they soldered the connections on each side of the old Kappas. The connection came loose....the metal male connectors on the speakers were burned pretty badly.
Anyways, the point is I received the replacements (the 572.5's) from Crutchfield 2 days ago, and installed them in about 15 minutes. They fit right into the factory 5x7 cutouts in the rear cab of my F150.
These things put out incredible sound. The low frequency response is 40 Hz....they sound incredible. I have an MTX Thunder 4202 2-Channel (50x2) amp running them right now, but I will be upgrading soon. I need a crossover to cut off the frequencies below 40 Hz.
I also ordered another set ($87 shipped from Ebay) for the front doors to replace some Cerwin Vega speakers I bought on a whim to replace the factory speakers.
These speakers are easily worth $200...which I believe is the MSRP. The bass these speakers put out with or without an amp is amazing. The mids and highs also seem clear. Sound is not too bright....just great, great speakers. Worth every penny spent. Similar Products Used: Pioneer, Sony, Jensen, Kicker
