Review 1 of 8

Price Paid:  $150.00 from -

Year / Model Reviewed:
 infinity 6953i

Strengths:
Performance @ Price Clean SQ

Weaknesses:
need amp to do any justice to them, not overpowered or you'll blow it.

Summary:
Great speakers. I started off driving these off the ***p 4x15W clarion factory head unit...didn't like it at all. Then I got more serious, balanced with Alpine Component speakers in the front and alpine head + 4 channel alpine amp....sweet as a nut. no distortion until you push it really high...good clean bass response.

Review 2 of 8

Price Paid:  $180.00 from circuit city

Year / Model Reviewed:
 96 cavalier

Strengths:
Clear sound, doesn't get muddy, good bass response

Weaknesses:
crappy without power; easy to go deaf because you want everyone to hear your clean clear sound

Summary:
Very decent speakers, as long as you have enough watts to 'em. I have a JVC 50x4, 19rms, without the amp my speakers sounded like factory crap, distorting at not-that-loud volumes, and hurting themselves. With an MTX putting a bit more RMS juice to 'em, my mirror vibrates and my head hurts. Thankfully I only have 60rms going to 'em or I'd be going deaf at a faster rate than I am now:)

Review 3 of 8

Price Paid:  $40.00 from Ebay

Strengths:
Good lows if surrounding area is deadened and buckets installed.

Weaknesses:
I think mabye next time I will stick with a two-way..as I will be putting subs in later and really dont need the expanded bass output from the rear deck.

Summary:
I installed these speakers in the rear deck of my car about 2 mths ago. Layed down some Brown-Bread and enclosed them in the the foam bucket...they have been mistaken for subs on several occasions! I am only running them off my deck Clarion DXZ715 right now..but they seem pretty good...only starting to distort at levels higher than I care to listen to anyway. I will be hooking them up to an amp shortly and will see what they can get up and down to. In the front I am running the 605cs and they seem to be a great match...plus with the price that I payed...how can you go wrong ;)

Review 4 of 8

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Infinity 6953i

Strengths:
Clarity. Excellent mid range and sweet treble. Bass is tight.

Weaknesses:
Bass a little weak on balance.

Summary:
I''m using these speakers to give some rear fill, driving them off a sony amp. With the high pass filter on they give sweet mids and clear treble, only distorting at very high volumes. Bass response could be better but what they give is tight and well defined. When properly used they are definately a worth while purchase. Compared to the kenwood 6 + 9 s'' i had previously they are brilliant.

Review 5 of 8

Price Paid:  $60.00 from Circuit City

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Strengths:
Everything. Try to use with an amp.

Weaknesses:
none

Summary:
I really don''t know what these other guys are talking about. These speakers sound decent with an aftermarket head unit, but when amplified with my Alpine amp, they began to shine. Lots of bass, clean crisp highs, and a whole lot more. i work at CC and talked to the infinity rep, and he said the reason the cones crumbled was because a large amount of speakers were shipped without the UV protection layer. So there! Definitely a worthy purchase.
