Price Paid:  $120.00 from www.shoppersadvantag

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1999

Summary:
I upgraded to a JBL P80.4 Running about 160 RMS to each component system. JBL amps having a variable high or low pass filter are excellent for taking out the lows from your highs allowing for extremely high powering. Beleive me when I say, 40 JBL watts is better than 150 Jensen watts. I would recommend the 50.3cs, which I plan to upgrade to as well as the JBL P80.2 (90x2RMS@4ohms) for a kick ass system for highs.

Strengths:
High power handling. Sound Quality

Weaknesses:
Not that I''''''''m not ignoring the RMS rating of 85 watts on the speakers, but when I am pushing 160 watts into them, I sometimes notice a slight burning smell. I would definately go with the new version.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $120.00 from www.shoppersadvantag

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1999

Summary:
Great SQ, Great highs. I am running these on a 300 watt Jensen (Yeah I know, time to switch brands on the amp)running 150 to each. These speakers can handle the power, and put out the sound. I would recomend bass blockers on the woofers though, when pumping 150 watts into the set, the woofers really try too hard trying to reproduce the low bass.

Strengths:
Great SQ, Great Highs. High power handling(340). Damn good deal.

Weaknesses:
None really, unless you count the fact that 5 1/4s werent made for low bass.

Similar Products Used:
JBL. I bought the Infinities as an upgrade from the GTO520s, and they kick their asses. (The GTO520s are 50$s though and also a great deal)
