Description:
These speakers can handle gobs of power without distortion. And they maintain a Nebraskan-flat frequency response. There are four ProSeries component systems. Each includes two Neo 5t 1-inch tweeters, several tweeter mounting kits, hardware, grilles, system-specific crossovers, and woofers designed to fit one of three factory cutouts. ProSeries rigid die-cast aluminum baskets serve two purposes. They act as a heat sink to help decrease heat and increase power handling. And they keep critical parts in perfect alignment, even when subjected to the stresses of installation and jarring road conditions.

Review 1 of 1 , from Chester, VA, USA

Price Paid:  $350.00 from Audio Express

Strengths:
-Clarity of vocals -I have never heard the tweeters distort -They handle plenty of power

Weaknesses:
They will bottom out with bass, but that''s not really a weakness because you can''t expect much bass from a 5.25" inch speaker.

Summary:
The system in my car: Boston 5.5 ProSeries Components Boston RX97 6 x 9''s Kenwood Excelon 815X cd player Kenwood Digital EQ (can''t remember model) Kenwood Excelon 501 Amp (75 x 4) Kenwood Excelon 301 Amp (100 x 2 or 300 x 1) Kenwood Excelon db 12 subwoofer I bought the Boston 5.5 ProSeries components as an upgrade from Infinity Kappa components, and what an ungrade it was. They played quite a bit a louder and so much cleaner. I have had these speakers for almost 2 years now, and I love them. It''s a pleasure to get in my car and drive just to hear these speakers. I power them with a Kenwood Excelon amp feeding them 75 Watts RMS, and as long as have the cross-over set properly I have never heard them distort. My cross-over is set around 80 Hz. Also, I listen to everything from classical, to country, to pop and some rap and they sound great with any style of music. These speakers are kick ass!
