from theCDTstore (eBay) Year / Model Reviewed: 2005 CDT HD-62USGold Strengths: seemingly effortless listening, works well with my DVD player to really localize the "center stage"
ES 200 crossovers blend the comps extremely smoothly Weaknesses: will not fit some cars with a 6.5 hole. These are slightly larger frame. Summary: I had used the EF-61's in a Ranger truck and was impressed by the quality, so when I thought about an install for my newer SUV, CDT came to mind. The Diamond S600S I had would not fit the SUV's oversized door locations (6.75), so I decided to go back to a CDT comp set. After 2 layers or Raammat on the doors and finding a way to mount the upstage tweets to the dash area, I was ready to power the system and give a listen. They sound very clear at high volumes but I toyed with power to give them 150w each side. They open up with high power of course, I had some initial issues with my alpine center channel combined with the upstage tweets, so removed the center channel and it actually added more clarity to the imaging. I like the CDT's in the stock location, I could only imagine the beauty achieved with custom mounting and a high quality amp like McIntosh, Brax, or Genesis. I am using a JL 300/2 and they still do fine by my ear. Similar Products Used: Diamond S600S, DLS ultimate, CDT ef-61
