Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $150.00

Summary:
I bought these at Best Buy after litening to Rockford and Pioneers of the same size. These sounded fantastic in the store, however, once I installed them in my doors, they sounded aweful.Off axis response is terrible,so don't expect much.I drove them with a MTX 275X high passed at around 200HZ at 18db/oct,and they were okay. They do make good midrange speakers, though.Mounting depth was 2.5 inches,so they're pretty deep as far as 5.25s go.I blew both tweeters within a month, even croosed over.I wouldn't push more than about 40 watts rms to them.

Strengths:
Very good materials,butyl surround,titanium tweeter,magnet cover

Weaknesses:
Very little bass or midbass.Tweeter blows easily.

Pioneer,Infinity

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $137.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 91" Volvo Station Wagon 240

Summary:
Wow, these really are great. I moved on up from the 4", the 4" coulndt handle all the power coming to them, these are handling things much better...i still managed to smoke them a bit...but i just consider that the breaking in period...the smoking and sparking just seems natural now. anyway, they sound great, i got em crossed over, and amped, and i am happy with my system now. The value rating sucks becuase i oculd of gotten the 6.25 for the same amount of $$.

Strengths:
Just what i needed, if only i had the room in my dorr i owuld of gone with the 6.25's..they were priced the same..now that i htink about it im smacking my forehead about, i oculd of cut bigger holes like i didnt in the rest of my car, but no...Im stuck with the smaller speakers. THey can handle a lot of bass, espically if you cross them over.

Weaknesses:
Your ears will be ringing for days. the highs are piercing! Maybe thats not such a bad thing

Price Paid:  $132.00

Summary:
They sounded better in the store, they are VERY bright. Need more bass if you need a componenent sounding speaker and you can add bass then it's a decent speaker

Strengths:
Inexpensive - bright - quality

Weaknesses:
Too tinny - not enough bass - too much tweeter not enough midrange

Similar Products Used:
Harmon Kardon, etc.

Review 4 of 4

Summary:
I paid around $150 for these beauties at Best Buy. They are in my jeep wrangler and I love 'em. They are running off of the deck's internal amp, so I am not too sure how well they perform under lots of power, but they perform fantistically on my mosfet45 (22w peak). They are definetly worth the money. (FYI, I am getting an amp soon, and I am thinking about replacing the Cerwin Vega's with Infinity Kappa 5 1/4 components.) But the Cerwin Vega's have done their job....If you are competition level, go with something else, but if you just want good sound for not too much money, these are the ones to go with. They beat the hell out of the stock speakers in my jeep wrangler, thats for sure!

Strengths:
Great bass, great tweets.

Weaknesses:
I bought it from best buy ($50 extra). Oh well...my mistake. Great speaker, but buy it online.
