Crystal clear - very clean at high volimes

Weaknesses:
That I didnt buy them sooner...

Replaced my entire system, purchased the M361i's, and WOW. Sound quality is amazing, imaging is without a doubt the best I have heard inside an automobile.

Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $125.00 from Magnolia HiFi

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 m361i

Strengths:
Clarity Mid-bass Highs Swiveling tweeter Rubber boot covering magnet

Weaknesses:
Nothing to compare to

Summary:
They sound very clear even off my aftermarket deck, haven't heard them off of an amp yet so can't comment on that. You'll get better mid-bass if you dynamat the area behind and around the speaker. They're really cheap on ebay, and for the price, the sound quality is too just too tempting to waste money on more expensive newer speakers

Review 4 of 6

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Magnolia Hi-Fi

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 M361i

Strengths:
Unbelievable detail and "imaging". ( I had no idea what that meant until I listened to these.)

Weaknesses:
If I were to complain about anything it would be how the lazer like clarity is so slean when you first put them in, it almost seems like your ears hurt.

Summary:
My 240 SXSE came with six drivers. Four mid-range 2 Ohm Clarions, one in each door and two in the rear window, and some clarion tweeters in windshield posts. The two in the door blew out due to my cranking the stock CD player beyond its ability to deliver clean power. I was in a rush, dropped by Magnolia Hi-Fi and just asked a salesguy there to pick out some high value to cost ratio replacement door speakers. Did he pick right. If anyone is doubting purchasing these speakers as a direct replacement door speaker - don't doubt it for a minute that once they are in, you'll KNOW it was one of your best decisions. As a review on these above mentioned, you will hear your music for the first time in your car if you've been living with a stock door speaker. I didn't change anything else with the system - no wiring upgrades,no new enclosures, no nothin'. The only thing I'm sorry about is how long it took me. I just had no idea how much difference there could possibly be. Listen to your music for the first time and invest in these if you have a chance.

Review 5 of 6

Price Paid:  $250.00 from Planet Auto Toys, Qu

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Current

Strengths:
Clarity. Clarity. Treble. Mids. Minimal Distortion. Separation. Clarity. (Did I mention clarity?)

Weaknesses:
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm...... None yet.

Summary:
I haven't had too much experience with many different component sets, but when I heard the mids and highs of my music played through these component speakers I realized how much of the music I have previously been missing; many of the sounds and effects of the music I listen to 24/7 were not even audible in my "other" speakers. Now I hear things in the music that I had missed before... and That's only MP3... These are great speakers. Comparitively to other brands, I'm not the guy to ask because I haven't heard too many other brands, but these speakers definitely blow any other speakers that I have previously owned OUT of the water.
