Price Paid:  $150.00 from Sounddomain.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 HZCX6.2 neo

Strengths:
Speaker and tweeter design and performance is unbeatable compared to anything else I have heard. Power handling capabilities are extremely high for a component set in this price range. Perform extremely wel at high volumes and have excellent imaging properties when used in a kickpanel setup. Price is unbeatable for the performance of these. Nothing compares.

Weaknesses:
Crossover is made of a plexiglass material that is easily scratched/smudged unless you are very careful during installation. No other weaknesses at all.

Summary:
These are easily the best component speakers I have heard at this price point. They are unbeatable. Nothing comes close, not Infinity, Not Boston, nothing. I reccomend these extremely highly. They are rated for 125wRMS but they can take around 200RMS and they really scream. The tweeter is one of the smoothest but crispest I have ever heard. The midbass is a solid piece and is built more like an SPL subwoofer than a midbass speaker. The honeycomb cone material is very strong but amazingly light and very responsive. The system hits down to about 45Hz with NO distortion at all. I really reccomend that you use the supplied crossover as it has a very useful tweeter volume control. Believe me at full volume pushing 200W plus to a set of these they will make your ears ring. Please believe it these are the best. I cannot stress enough how amzing HiFonics products are and I reccomend their whole line of products.
