Price Paid:  $169.00 from Audio Vibe

Summary:
I bought these speakers more than 18 months ago, and let me say that JBL quite simply rules! I never knew that 5x7's could play such deep bass. They go low, loud, and play really smoothly. I think the best part about these speakers though, are the tweeters. They have amazing detail, smoothness, and do they ever scream when driven by an amplifier. I find that there really isn't any kind of music that sounds bad on these speakers. The only bad thing I noticed about them, is that if you play CD-R's on your system, the speakers reveal deffects in the recording quality of the songs. Come to think of it, that isn't a bad thing at all, it's good. It just goes to show how amazing JBL's can sound. Unfortunately for me, I was running mine off my headunit (Premeire DEH P600), which blew it's internal amp, and took out one of my 5x7's with it. I'm buying another pair, and always recomend the power series to all my friends and family for their cars too.

Strengths:
Stunning clarity, loads of power handling, deep bass from a small driver, crystal clear highs, high SPL.

Weaknesses:
Hey, they're JBL's, there are no weaknesses... :)
