Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $65.00 from etronics

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Strengths:
Full rich sound low cost. You could easily buy these insted of speakers in the $100-$140 range and put the rest to somthing else.

Weaknesses:
I have seen nicer rubber surrouds. Well at least the're rubber, but the're not too thick. Good for lower watts, because the thicker the rubber the more it takes to dive it. I believe that is how these have such high sensitivity ratings. 93. The only reason I gave these a four star overall rating is that you have to be honest, there are other 6x9 speakers that will absolutly blow these away! But, you'll spend three to four times as much... seriously.

Summary:
I don't think you are going to find any speaker that will play as full and smooth for $65! No way! I was looking at spending up to $120 on a set of 6x9's. After hearing these I knew I had a deal. I have them hooked up to my head unit. It is a high watt Blanpunkt. 27 rms. The bass handeling is good but as with anything bass the more power the better they will handel. Thus I am hooking them up to an amp.

Review 3 of 6

Price Paid:  $60.00 from Caraudioexpert.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 6909

Strengths:
Great highs, awsome mids, and great bass response. very sensitive, so dont need a super powerfull head or amp to drive them.

Weaknesses:
although they are alot more sensitive and dont require as much power, you can feel untapped power.... so i'd recomend a 30watt rms head like the alpines or a a amp.

Summary:
These speakers are unbeleiveable, and also unbelieveable for how much they cost. THese things provide aswome highs and mids, and bass response is great as well. I've tried the infinity ref 3-ways and they sound great too, but did not provide as much of a filled in sounds as these, and they also cost alot more. These are definatley the best bang for the buck... I've tried the infinitys and the polk gx69's, and out of the 3, I found these at the lowest price, and the sounded the best.

Review 4 of 6

Price Paid:  $79.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 95 galant

Strengths:
strong bass, awesome highs, cheap, very clear

Weaknesses:
i wasn't very impressed by the grill and the housing that the grill connectsa to

Summary:
i replaced my rear factory 6x9s a few months ago when i purchased the car. i decided on the kfc-6909s by reading reviews and listening to them at stores. these are perfect for my rear fill. they put out quite a bit of bass, and excellent highs as well. in fact, for a few weeks, while i was getting my blown front speakers replaced and before i had my sub connect, i drove around with just the kenwoods in the back, and other than the fact that all the sound was coming from the back of my car, my music sounded really good. i would reccommed these to anyone not looking to break the bank on a speaker purchase.

Review 5 of 6

Price Paid:  $95.00

Strengths:
clarity

Weaknesses:
none known

Summary:
I was surprised that I could find a speaker this clear for the price. It was such a change from my factory speakers in my chrysler concorde. It has exceptional tweeters producing incredible highs. The woofer gives enough push for my taste but wasn't more than i was looking for. I would definetly recommend this product to anyone.
