Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $285.00 from cbrstereo.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 MB 215.61Q

Strengths:
SQ only, bass heads and people looking to ruin these running full channels or running them off of a head unit, go buy some 6x9's

Weaknesses:
little midbass (which is okay because they sound best if they only have to reproduce some frequencies)

Summary:
Amazing sound quality, they retail for 750 but I found a deal for 285, so they are worth every ounce of work I put into making that 285. My god they sound good. I'm running them off of a Phoenix XS2500 which is something like 75w rms into each 4 ohm load. This is plenty, the gain is below one third. Note they don't have much midbass, or maybe they do but sure don't sound like it in my car. I believe this is due to the neodium magnet (which is very small) all neodium speakers I have listend too sound very clean but lack midbass.

Similar Products Used:
Sony separates (worth it for 50 bucks but if you can afford it step up) Diamond (great all around) Clarion (blows just like most of their stuff) JL Evolution (tweet is not as good but better midrange)

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $500.00 from eBay auction

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Strengths:
Awesome cosmetics, transparent sound, frequency response, power handling, coordination with other audiophile components, dynamics, and most important sound quality.

Weaknesses:
Price. Tweeters must be set properly to smoothen high frequency response. Require high quality and quantity wattage from a reputable amp manufacturer. Equalization is necessary preferably from a 1/3 octave equalizer.

Summary:
Perfect component set up to compensate for poor factory speaker locations. 99 Honda Accord has corner dash speaker locations for the tweeter and the 5.25 midbass will easily install into each door. Sound is very clear, dynamic, and transparent. First time owning speakers, I had to attenuate higher frequencies on my equalizer. Off axis performance is exceptional. The MB Quart Q 1 inch tweeter mounted in the dash reflects and radiates the highs better than the competition. Midranges coordinate well with the tweeter. Music sounds fantastic! Most idiots brag about how their bass carries. How many of them can brag like myself about how well you can hear vocals and instruments from a 4 car distance? Much more impressive feat I think. I am really impressed with how this component set matches with 3 JL Audio 15W6''s. The subs do not drown out the Quarts. Another impressive performance feature. Very happy with this set and would recommend to anyone serious about sound quality.

Similar Products Used:
Oz Audio CS130. I love both sets equally. Oz is exceptional on axis. Mb Quart Q series work better in less than optimal factory speaker locations, off axis.
