Review 1 of 3 , from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Price Paid:  $80.00 from millionbuy.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001/02

Strengths:
Off-Axis response Quality construction Excellent tweeter Reasonably priced for this good a speaker

Weaknesses:
Unimpressive upon first appearance. Although this is forgotten once they are powered up...

Summary:
These DKD 113 are part of a system of MB quarts made up of 3.5''s, 6.5''s and a 10" sub. Powered by an Alpine MRV-F505 which provides 50W @ 12v. These speakers are located in the door panel of an ''87 Buick Regal. Exellent dispersion, as MB Quart mentions "Off-Axis" performance and these speakers prove that to be true. As their entry level speaker, they give excellent value for the money, if these sound this good, then their upper lines must be up near "audiophile" quality. Great low-mid performance combined with the excellent tweeter, these speakers are an excellent component of the complete system

Review 2 of 3 , from Katy, Tx USA

Price Paid:  $100.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 MB Quart DKD 113

Strengths:
Clean solid midrange. What else could you want, they do the job at a great price.

Weaknesses:
none yet.

Summary:
I have these speakers in my rear door panels of my 1997 Toyota 4-Runner. Fronts are MB Quart PSC213 component speakers installed in a pair of Q-Logic kick panels. Speakers are wired to an Eclipse 32440 amp. Sub is a JL Audio 10-W3 installed in a Q-Logic custom sub enclosure wired to a Precision Power Class2300 amp. My amps provide clean pure sounds. My MB Quart PSC213 are unbeleivable. Every note comes through as though you were playing the instrument yourself. The MB Quart DKD 113 provide clean fill for my mid levels as they were intended.

Review 3 of 3 , from Stockton, CA

Price Paid:  $86.00

Strengths:
smooth sounding without any mid extortion

Weaknesses:
none

Summary:
These speakers are a nice accompanying coaxial system for the DSD series speakers. I put the DSD 213 component set up front in my BMW 535i and these DKD 113 in the back. The whole system gets 75watts RMS to each speaker and it sounds magnificient! The total sound quality is very smooth. The DKD 113 are mostly for rear fill in and they do a very nice job of it.

JBL GTO sereies speakers (harsh sounding), Infinity Kappa (decent)
