Price Paid:
$150.00 Year / Model Reviewed: 2000 Summary: These things are awesome, short of the fact that I had to build new door panels in order to install them. Now that I'm done with that though, I am very happy cause now I have a custom look done by me of course along with some great mid-bass and high notes from the HCCA's. If it were'nt for the price I probably would not have bought the Orions simply for the fact that I hadn't ever heard them. For a $150 tho, come on, these sell for $450 down the street from me, the only problem is those guys are authorized orion and they expect you to buy them without ever hearing them (ie, they don't even stock them, you have to order em'). Great component set, I don't think they compare to those HEX's but hey, in comes that $150 price tag again. As far as a recommendation, to be honest I wouldn't buy em' for $500, ,but they are great and if I were rich who knows? I wouldn't feel right giving them a five star rating in other words. ;) Strengths: They do a great job of keeping up with my 2 perfects. sound quality is there, looks are great as well. Weaknesses: Haven't really found any, for the price I paid there is nothing even close. Similar Products Used: Alpine 4" (don't remember the model), Ininfinity Reference 4" and some Xplod 4"ers, none of these compare although they were all 4" 2-ways and the HCCA's are 5.25. Out of the other three the Reference hands down.
