Review 1 of 7

Price Paid:  $0.00 from ABC Warehouse

Year / Model Reviewed:
 $79

Strengths:
Great mids and highs, punchy bass

Weaknesses:
not enough bass

Summary:
These are probley one the best coaxial 4x6's next to the infinity reference plates. They provide excellent mids and highs, but lack bass... but just about all the 4x6's i listened to does, these are good only if you have good bass output someplace else, like from 6x9's or a sub, I also lined my speaker openings with dynamyt since these things where rattling my door... these things do punch for a 4x6, or it tries its hardest. I think these are great speakers if you looking to upgrade from factory, and dont want to break the bank... if looking to spend more, I'd look into the kenwood 4" components or the 4x6 plate from infinity... i've heard they are better sounding, but costs quite a bit more. Also, Best prices I found on the web for all products... www.caraudioexpert.com great service from these guys... and believe me, the prices are real....

Review 2 of 7

Price Paid:  $60.00 from Crutchfield

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Strengths:
Extremely clear, with no odd coloring as far as I can hear. The bass is fine for a 4x6, and bass blockers improve these speakers a lot. Great quality and tone!

Weaknesses:
One of them was making an odd buzzing sound one cold morning, but I think it might have been a fly stuck in the cone.

Summary:
These are some excellent 4x6 speakers! There is an amazing difference over the terrible factory ones I had in my Caprice Classic. The tweeter is very accurate, and I can''t detect any strange metallic timbre coming from them, as on my JBL 6x9s sometimes. I have had no problems, except putting them in, which was Chevy''s fault for putting the dumb A/C vents right under the front speakers. They distort some when given hard bass, but c''mon, what do you expect? I put a pair of 300hz bass blockers on them, improved the sound drastically; no longer had to continue to turn down the bass because of distortion. A great buy!

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $39.00 from EBay

Strengths:
Sound clarity, low mounting depth, easy to install.

Weaknesses:
Some bass distortion but that is fixed with a pair of bass blockers.

Summary:
I put these speakers into the doors of my Maxima and they sound great. They are even better than the Infinity Kappas they replaced.

Similar Products Used:
Infiniti Kappas and Pioneer 4x6''s

Review 4 of 7

Price Paid:  $22.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000

Strengths:
i got a bargain on these at ebay. well when i hooked them up in front i didnt expect to much but i was blown away by these little speakers and that was on my head unit.I now feed them both 60 watts rms with (gains down and highpass) a precision power ppi2240 amp (very versitile amp)and am very impressed at the range.

Weaknesses:
none

Summary:
i would recommend these speakers for anyone looking for a 4x6" make sure you use a crossover on them they dont do bass well at all. but who cares about bass from a 4x6" there handling 60 watts rms each with no prob so far.

Similar Products Used:
clarion 4x6" plate, infinity refrence plates.the polks seem a little mellower in the highs but the clarion had better lows.

Price Paid:  $60.00

Strengths:
I dropped them in my S-series pick up. Man, there is a heck of a difference between stock and these, they are great sounding, good quality, and have a great price. Just don't try to run any bass through them, get a sub.

Weaknesses:
none so far

Summary:
I would recomend these to anyone looking for a great speaker for this price range. It is an excellent speaker for GM cars with the factory 4x6's

Similar Products Used:
Kenwood 4x6's, Pioneer 4x6's, stock GM 4x6's
