Price Paid:  $150.00 from Circuit City

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Polk MOMO 6.5"

Strengths:
These speakers really deliver. The external crossovers really do their job and you can definately tell. The highs are so crisp, and the mids are punchy. These speakers are made of kevlar, so when someone dumps a bucket of worms in your car as some sort of a cruel joke or something, worry about your leather seats, not the speakers. Once they bump the worms and dirt will shake right off the smooth rigid kevlar surface. Even bullets cant get through them. They make bullet proof police vests out of the same material these speakers are made of. Go ahead, kick your doors open with muddy feet, don't worry about the door speakers getting wrecked. Put your extra-mayo Quiznos sub on top of a speaker in your rear deck. Mayo spills on it? Who the hell cares? ITS KEVLAR BABY!

Weaknesses:
the speakers distort ALOT at high volumes. But that's my problem. See- my Clarion headunit is like 19 watts (says 50 on the package but thats BS). They distort because theres not enough power getting to them. You need an amp to power these speakers. They're 180 watts. 19 watts will make them distort. Get at least 50 RMS amp power to these.

Summary:
I bought the pair at $50 off because they were display models. Last ones. For speakers that people have bee touching and little kids have been spilling ice cream and spitting on while walking past the car audio section at circuit city, they hold up pretty good.
