Price Paid:  $100.00 from American

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 db690

Strengths:
Shallow mounting depth Good midrange to high frequencies

Weaknesses:
Terrible bass to mid-bass response

Summary:
I am running these speakers off of an Alpine CDA-9830. I must admit that these speakers really dissapointed me. I had Infinity Reference 6.5" speakers in my old car and they put out 3 times the bass these speakers put out. Everything from low to mid-bass frequencies just sound muddy and flat. I'm guessing this has something to do with the shallow mounting depth. That said, the mid's and highs are spectacular. I would recommend these speakers only if you have a subwoofer (or two) to handle the low frequencies.

Similar Products Used:
None really. My old system was a low-end Pioneer receiver with 4 6.5" Infinity Reference 2-ways. That system sounded 10 times better than this one.
