Review 3 of 5
Price Paid:
$165.00 Year / Model Reviewed: 1999 Strengths: Speed, depth, tonal balance Weaknesses: None I can think of Summary: I had 2 of these subs in a 2.5ft sealed box running at 1 ohm to my ESX 475 monoblock which roughly gave out 1000+ watts total to them. These are by far the best sounding subs I have heard to date. Compared to the JL, Audiobahn, Infinity, Shiva, this woofer just beats in the musicality department. They don't even come close. This woofer is the tightest sounding woofer I have come across so far. The brands listed above just lag behind when it comes to the speed. I can't stress enough about how fast this woofer sounds. In my comparisons, the closest would be the HSU research sub. But that woofer took up too much space and was just a pace behind in speed. If music is your priority, you CAN'T be disappointed with the purchase of these subs. I think these are the best woofers you can buy for music under $200 period. They play loud, but don't expect to win spl competitions with them. If you want loudness, go with the Shivas, their bottom end output is 2nd to none. Too bad the 1week after I installed them, they got stolen. Similar Products Used: shiva 12", audiobahn alum10, jl 10w6, hsu research 12", perfect 12
