Strength:

Cheap, very very clear, attractive, great balance of volume and sound quality (if run at RMS)

Weakness:

Low RMS, doesnt sound as good in a ported box, wont shake your car like some subs (could be a pro or a con)

I recently bought two of these subs and I'm running them off a Infinity 610A mono amp. If your looking for earthquaking bump, these aren't your subs. But if you want enough bump for people to clearly hear you without sacrifing any sound quality at all, these are your babies. I tried them in a closed and ported box, and they seem to do their best in a small closed box. There is an excellent mix of loudness and clarity in these subs. They will get very loud, but not shaky enough to distort your mids and tweeters at high volume. They look very slick if you match them with anything silver, chrome, aluminum, etc. A VERY impressive subwoofer for the price. I would have expected to pay a lot more for the quality.

It is a great sub, one of the most accurate that I have ever owned or heard. Best suited for rock and jazz, where accuracy is prized. Can handle a lot of power, 400 watts, but sounds fine running on 200. The only thing I can find unappealing about the sub is that it can occasionally be harsh, such as it lacks the warm sound found on other subs, like Alpines. But over all, the best subwoffer I have ever owned for the money.

Strength:

huge bass output, lots of clarity, very good price for what you get.

Weakness:

none at all

i have two 360watt 2channel amps each one bridged onto a kappa 120.3se subwoofer, the bass from these beasts is unbelieveable esspecially at the deep lows e.g. 30hertz and below, although the bass is hard hitting it keeps up very well and has very good clarity. ive owned other sub but none like these, go and buy one now!!!!!!!

Strength:

clarity the ability to hit lows very nicely and they are loud as hell! also don't forget they're cheap now thats hard to find!

Weakness:

none

When I first purchased Them from my buddies job i was a little skeptical! But thats because I've only owned 1 one set of single voice coil subs and that was a set of rockford punches from about 5 years ago,and I blew those in like two weeks because they couldn't handle the power. Well to make A long story short I purchased three and are currently running them Off two kicker zr Amps and they slam hard and low. I was surprised and not dissapointed. I've owned kicker L7's soundstreams, audiobahn, jbl! But don't get me wrong all those brands hit but these subs I cant find a weekness

Strength:

extreme power handling. good construction, good SQ. good SPL. Good everything.

Weakness:

none.

If there is anyone that says this sub cannot perform, they are an idiot. Obviosly they dont know the first thing about setting up a good system. These have been the best subs I have ever owned, and the best that I have heard so far (Sound Quality). I have a JBL BP 1200.1 pumping 600 watts of RMS power (1200 max each) to each one in a ported 2 cubic ft box. These subs can put out a lighter when the bass hits. This shows that these 2 12's can put out some serious SPL.

Strength:

some of the loudest bass around 25hz(very low), from any 12" sub, and is very clear, and precice when not over-powered too much

Weakness:

dosn't hit very hard no matter how much power you put to it, and is lacking loudness in the upper bass area,60-120 hz

it is rated for 300 watts, but handles 350 easy. if you buy it new, let it break in for a week before you return it,I was dissapointed at first because it seemed like it couldn't handle much power, but the gain on my amp has gone up 3/4 since i got it

JL-12w6, is more expensive but hits alot harder, but the lows won't rattle your guts like the kappa(good for rap and techno beats, but not so good for rock
