Alpine SWE-1241 Subwoofers

Alpine SWE-1241 Subwoofers

DESCRIPTION

The "E' in Alpine's entry-level Type "E" subwoofers clearly stands for excellent bass at an excellent price. This affordable line of quality subwoofers uses a responsive pulp cone reinforced with Kevlar® for strength and durability. The heavy-gauge, custom-stamped steel frame is thick to withstand the demands of hard playing. A bumped back plate keeps the SWE-1241 12" sub from bottoming out — the only bump is from the bass!

The SWE-1241 works great in sealed enclosures; or use a vented box to produce bigger, boomier sound.

  • Kevlar®-treated pulp cone
  • 3/4" Santoprene rubber surround
  • dual oversized Nomex® spiders
  • frequency response 26-1,000 Hz
  • power range 50-200 watts RMS
  • peak power handling 600 watts
  • sensitivity 89 dB
  • top-mount depth 6-3/16"
  • sealed box volume: 0.8-1.7 cubic feet
  • ported box volume: 1.25-2.0

Strength:

really deep lows for such a small sub no cap design for deep er bass good punch to them equil to a volfenhag 1000 watt better lows on the alpine for sure

Weakness:

while hits deep lows it maxes out on certain types of bass other subs will easily kill, work very well in sealed or vented enclosure but i put in a orion 12 bandpass box wich cost 400 dollars for old skool box really sturdy heavy any ways the voice coil burned out so bad the sub was smoking black burnt rubber smoke and the capless front of the sub went from white to brow and black the whole vehicle stunk so i rate this horrible in a enclosed box

for being 700 something watts max they hit really good quality bass better than thousand watt pyle legacy acoustic audio and all the other crap brands sold at your local flea, light weight so i was surprised how they preformed compared to others. the best subs i ever bought under 1200 watts
