Review 2 of 6 , from indianapolis

Price Paid:  $282.00 from thezeb.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001 aw1505x

Strengths:
awesome sub, best sub I have ever heard in my life!!!! not even in money catorgory, this thing pounds and under powered

Weaknesses:
none soooo far, kinda stuff, but still does great in ported box off just 600 watts. try it ported man if you still have it

Summary:
Well,i have mine in a ported box running off 600 wattsrms. The box is 5 cubic foot. 70 inches of port and tuned at 36hz, damn!!!! kills the aw1500 audiobahns, no crap, within 24 hours ripped the trunk latch off and was just sitting in the bottom of trunk, wow, now trunk latch welded back with brass, holding so far, the reason why it didn''t seem so well for our first reviewer was cause this sub is really meant to be ported. I had it in a sealed box with a little more power and didn''t do 1/6th of what it is doing now

nothing compares, kills hcca''s!

Review 5 of 6 , from Sacramento, CA USA

Price Paid:  $403.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 AW 1505

Strengths:
This sub has come to my every expectation. if givin the correct wattage and box airspace, it can do about everything. It can hit high bass frequencies with ease and grace, and commands the sub-level frequencies with power and authority. in it's box, it's about 60+ lbs, and around 8 hertz at 130+ decibles, the box literally jumps. RAD!!!!!!!!!

Weaknesses:
you need a lot to power this baby. it can take anything, but to get supreme sound, you need raw power (600+ watts rms at least, and clean). it's expensive, but if you go with this sub, obviously that isn't an issue.

Summary:
My friend owned this sub before me, and blew both of it's voice coils while experimenting. After hearing, and feeling, what this sub can do, I decided I had to invest in one. I haven't been beaten yet at stop-light compititions. It's great. Getting a hold of it was quite unplesant, going through UPS (my first was broken because of the packaging). so even though expensive, and waiting about 5 months to get it, it was worth it after putting it in. I'm happy, and if I upgrade, it will be to get a second.

Two 12" MTX's in a bandpass box- a disgrace in comapison.
Two 12" PYLE comps. sealed- can't put out like this beast. no low end either.
