Price Paid:
$350.00 Year / Model Reviewed: 2000 rs10a Strengths: compact, good sound at low volume, I don't have that big crappy speaker box taking up my extra space. relatively inexpensive compared to a mono amp per sub setup. Weaknesses: The damn speaker grille falls off. does not live up to the implied "reference series" name. sounds like it's afraid of something. I expected alot more from this sub. Summary: altho a good enough unit for those on a budget, not quite the sound i would look to achieve at anytime. i'm not one known for being a bass head, i prefer a more balanced sound to handle everything techno can throw. i want deep bass, but not a boomy rattling bass. this one is probably better for country music fans. those wishing a tight hard hitting sound should look else where. on a positive note, this one is perfect for putting in the wife's car. it's easy and quick to install, and fairly good boom for the buck. and she'll be very happy for a long time. for the dollar value, it's very acceptable for the low cost, and low visability. But "reference implications" it aint. Similar Products Used: 2 eight inch bazookas run with h/k amps.
