Price Paid:
$150.00 Year / Model Reviewed: 2000 Strengths: Deep extension, good power handling, amazing clarityand precision. Weaknesses: nothing in this price range Summary: I paid $75 each (half price) and what an investment. I have the 2 10's in parallel with a Kenwood KAC-718 (120W RMS 240 Max) in a sealed box. It took about 3 weeks of intermittent driving to break them in. When the broke in I was amazed at the depth achieved. I listen to a lot of classical and other kinds of music and it handles everything with precision. When it comes time to go loud, they can make you feel short of breath. My head unit has sub volume control and these subs need it because they often are too overwhelming for some tracks. The constuction is great, rubber surrounds stiff but light cone, and quality spider, it has a stamped basket but hey can you really expect more for the price?
For anyone who loves clarity and depth in all types of music, and likes to hear music the way it was recorded, this is the sub you you.
If you are one of those kids who crave the boom, go buy some junk like JL or Rockfords and spend more $$ too while you're at it, and good luck hearing a basic conversation at age 35.
They are well worth the price I paid and even worth the retail price. You won't be disappointed. Similar Products Used: alpine, sony, panasonic, phoenix gold, jl, rf.
