from Wholesale catalugue Year / Model Reviewed: 2004 dd 15" Summary: DD is Audiobahn with different logo. I picked them up for short money when they were first coming out. I had a couple blow up real quick (probably duds, since the replacements they sent have been going for years now).
I have 4 of these running off of a couple kicker 1200 watt mono blocks, in appx 1.25 cu/ft sealed. They are pretty linear and do move some air.
For the price they're pretty good. A lot of people talk about what subs are good or bad, and 90% of it is in the install. Whatever speaker you buy have someone who knows what they're doing build a box and install them.
Another thing to consider is the car you put them in. I've had these in a different car and they sounded completely different both in loudness and response in the same size box, and even depending on which way you point them in the trunk. Strengths: Preform well in small sealed box, good bang for buck. They're nothing amazing, but if you build a good tight box, and throw them 300-600 watts CLEAN power, they'll do pretty nice. Weaknesses: Shoddy chinese manufacturing. Had to return a couple duds for warranty. Also the vented box would require about 4.5 cube just to accomodate a proper port size, so running these ported is out of the question. Similar Products Used: This compares to JL W0, MTX (entry level), Audiobahn (same company), and pretty much a dozen other chinese made subs. It's like there's 2 factories in China that make all these subs and they're pretty much all the same. Shop for price and make sure you have room for a proper box. If you want to get into high end sound, buy something made in the USA.
