from ebay Year / Model Reviewed: 2004 10w3v2-d4 Strengths: sound, price, resale value, Weaknesses: wont handle more than about 300 real watts, but that is enough for most. Summary: Very nice sub for anyone who cares about quality bass. They are subs for adults, maybe not for those who care about turnin heads with their system outside the car. I would not recommend it for the "damn, it hits hard" crowd. The power handling is moderate. For normal listening though, it can get plenty loud. The thing is, it actually plays bass notes, not just 'boomin'. I'm using a pair in a sealed box config. Tried several other subs before i settled in on these. One thing, it is good to have an amp with a subsonic filter, even with a sealed box. The laws of physics dictate that a 10" sub can only play so low. High pass Filter em about 35 hz. Cabin gain from your vehicle will make up for the bottom end mostly anyway. Try this, you will be amazed at how much this tightens/speeds up your bass. No excess excursion, just good clean notes. All in all and especially for the price, resale is good on JL too, they are worth a listen. Similar Products Used: basically, most everything out there thats decent, none of the cheap crap though.
