JL only made 1 terrible sub since they have been in the market and that is the 10w3's. Actually all the w3's. But I have not heard the new V2's yet.
I had 3 of them for over a year in sealed enclosures. I used JL, Memphis, and Orion amps on this thing. Used 1, .80, and .7 cubic ft chambers on all of them at different times. I've used Diamond, MB Quart, and JL component speakers up front with very clean mid/highs amps. And no matter what the sub did not play accurately, and the SQ was dogcrap!!!!!. I have never heard a sub with such terrible peaks in response. It cannot play detailed bass guitar lines, or difficult synthesized bass lines. They are okay for rap SQ, but do not get low enough for most people. They do take alot of power, but who cares they sound like crap. If you listen to alot of rock music stay away from these subs, you will go nuts trying to EQ the terrible response of this sub. No matter what you do you will not be able to get this sub to transition well with your mids/highs, and they are very slow. Their impact is not up to par with todays speakers. Similar Products Used:
