Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $85.00 from Ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 12W1V2-8

Summary:
This subwoofer is great. I have only one of them in my system and it's very loud! It's very musical and can reproduce the sub bass region with authority!! The best part of it all is that I have barely 175wrms going to it. It's bridged at 8ohm's to an old school PPI2150 with the gain a little over half way and it's standing proud!! I used JL's recommended figures and came up with my own box but it's still in a slot ported enclosure at roughly 2ft3 to include displacement of port, sub and internal braces. Over all this sub is great. You get more than what you pay for. I've priced them brand new and would buy them for their MSRP if I didn't stumble across an excellent price used off of Ebay.

Strengths:
Doesn't require or want lots of power for max performance. Inexpensive as compared to JL's other lines. Great musical reproduction with nice bass response.

Weaknesses:
JL could have came up with a better color for this sub. I think that the gray is a little ugly looking but then again, I'm not thinking about the color when my stuff is slammin'!!!

Similar Products Used:
Lots of other 12" subs. I change my setup roughly every 3-5months.
