Review 1 of 27

Price Paid:  $169.00 from Sound Preformance

Year / Model Reviewed:
1997 Jl Audio 15wo bought in 2004

Strengths:
Nice loud, long carry bass and tight roll over. Has Great sound quality and produces ear splitting pressure in Jeep with window up.

Weaknesses:
Have yet to see any.

Summary:
I have 1 15wo and an old school Rockford Punch 200 cast iron series. Speaker is in air tight box hooked to 1 channel. Not even bridged. The amp puts a hurtin on em. I can be heard 4 blocks away. here that is about 1/2 mile. Paired up with sony CDX-F7700 MP3 head unit and 4 gauge amp kit. I can drive by my house and shake every window in the whole house. I will be installing another 15wo on other channel of amp. I have install systems for about 6 years. This set impresses me for the money.

any speaker of similar quality. Jl, Focal, Old school fosgate, love them all.

Price Paid:  $100.00 from Bass Waves

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Strengths:
Thumps like hell, makes the car shake like a turkey on xmas.

Weaknesses:
Mine doesnt really play as well as Id like at low frequeny as I would, but I must admit the amp Im running is pushing out about 50-60 RMS to the sub, it is underpowered at the moment and it is most likely due to this

Summary:
I dont see what Kenneths issue is with the 15W0, I've got one which plays like a freakin dream, mabey the installation or his amp was not suited for it?,Im running a 1000watt starsound on this sub and it hammers, pumps n thumps like hell,A BRILLIANT BUY

Review 5 of 27

Price Paid:  $300.00 from friend

Year / Model Reviewed:
 jl audio 15w0

Strengths:
Price

Weaknesses:
Bad SQ, high distortion

Summary:
I honestly dont see why you people like these subs. I had 2 of them in an eclipse with a 1200 watt amp and i thought these speakers sucked. they sounded like 2 regualr 12"s and mine had bad SQ. I like JL audio i now have 2 15w3's and i love them. I tried several boxes and the 15wo's sounded like ass in all of them. i would definately not recommend them to anyone. they distort to easily.
