Price Paid:  $85.00 from electronics 2000

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 10" kicker comp vr

Summary:
pretty good sub. i have one install in a chevy silverado single reg cab, and it sounds great. its a sealed box and put out hard tight bass. almost more than i can handle while sitting in the truck. it run by a ix702 kicker amp which puts out 70x2 rms. has rubber instead of foam surround for durability. i've noticed that the box demsions make a huge differnce in sound. i had it standard truck box i bought of the street. it sound alright but thought it could be better so i built a custom box to fit my truck better. now it sounds twice as good.

Strengths:
overall durability and build quality. sound decent looking good power handling

Weaknesses:
none really but to be picky it sounds best only when put in the right box, thats typical for most good subs. the magnet is a bit deep but nothing compared to some of the other subs i've seen.

Similar Products Used:
other kicker, alfasonik, sony, jl audio, etc. i would compare the sound quality to a jl sub but built better.
