Summary:
i bought some kickers this winter and they are the best subs ever they are hard hitting subs very underrated in wattage i would put these against any 12s hooked up 2 an audiobahn 1000

many strenghts beat fast and hard good deal for cheap

Summary:
I got 2 of these Kicker I12 12inch Subwoofers some time ago from a friend. I thought, oh yeah, kickers are great, but only the new ones. hellllll no. these subs POUND, we''re talking award winning bass. the clarity is unbelievable too. i have them both in a custom kicker ported box, and with a Sony Xplod 1000watt amp and they actually dented my trunk. the bass is insane and should be illegal coming from such old subs. i''m definitely happy with them and i suggest anyone looking at subs, GO WITH KICKER, you will not be disappointed, i swear it.

Strengths:
- Insane Loudness with NO disortion - Custom Ported box is LOUD - Do not bottom out or sound bad in anyway - take MUCH more power than recommended - run fine in hot conditions and long periods of time

Weaknesses:
- they dented my trunk (oh darn!) - i cant keep my rearview mirror glued on - i''m going deaf - i cant afford solobaric''s :(

Summary:
When I bought it i just needed to fill the space and sound of 2 older cerwin vega 12''s (the mtx amp i have ripped them apart). So when I saw the Impulse for under $50 I bought it as a temporary replacement till I fried it or could afford something better. It hits as hard as my cerwins and I''ve been runnin over 500 RMS watts through it!!

Strengths:
WAY underrated power handling. Great sound quality and SPL levels (I pegged mid 120''s with a single 12). And how could I complain about the price??

Weaknesses:
People hear you say Impulse and think it wont hit.

Summary:
I've really enjoyed these (2 12"s) subs! They shouldn't of quit producing them! My friend has heard me sitting at a redlight while he at a resteraunt that is about 200ft away form the redlight! That was after I got the new custom box made. The new box is to big in my opinion though, its so big i cant tilt my center console back in my single cab '96 Dodge Ram anymore. They can outlast my old 600watt Kenwood Amp though. When amp finally just cant take anymore and starts doing its thermal shutdown thing my subs are still firing away like you just turned 'em on! Great Subs! I am selling them though, only because I found a good deal on some Audiobahn 10"s. These subs are excellent for someone on a tight budget though!

Strengths:
- 2 12"s can really HIT!
- Can handle more power then listed
- Sound very good for such a cheap price
- Can handle alot of power for long periods of time

Weaknesses:
- Had to get a custom box made because it rattled my prefab to death. Broke plate built onto the front to keep the magnent from bottoming out.
- Need a pretty good sized box in my opinion to sound good.

2 12" MTX BlueThunders - Impulses way outhit those old things! I've put my power to these Impulses with the same amp (Max volume - 62, Bass +6) and the held. I didnt even do half that and blew my BlueThunders!

Summary:
if you wanna save money and you want good bass......excellent bass, for cheap, go for kicker impulse.

Strengths:
i had 2 and they required very little wattage and even when i added more power, i had very little distortion and good sound. very impressive bass for cheap price. had many good comments from outsiders. i guess other people liked them too because they were stolen from my camaro:(

Weaknesses:
nothing at all.......totally worth the price.
