i have had many different sub and anp combos everything from pheonixgod12 to 4 jlw3's and i have never been this inpressed with a subwoofer before i am running one kmx12 with a ma audio mxe700 at 500x2@2ohms in a vented box made for a square solobaric and modifide to fit a round sub this is the loudest and clearest single subwoofer i have ever heard the jlw3 was loud but they are not meant to handle the power and u cant be loud without power if u are just getting in or are a long time vet of comps this is a subwoofer to check out i dont need to but i am getting one more kmx12 and a kmx15 to put in my sunfire as it stand right now i am hitting around 150-160db and i will be hitting way more wen im done all i can say is this is one of the best up and coming products out there kicker and jl u only pay the name these subs have a voice coil that is one inch larger then any kicker or jl u will find sooo take my advise or dont just dont judge til u try it
