2004 1200XL Summary:
The Sub(yes i only have 1, in a ported box) is powered by my little Phoenix Gold mono amp(500w max)...I have the clearest bass you can get while uncontrolably shaking the paint off my rearview mirror. I'm pressing to get a Cewin-Vega 12" but, this sub has caused me to take my time because it hits sooo hard with sooo little power. Strengths:
Clear Deep Bass.
Great Sound Quality at all levels.
Causes headaches with less than 500w of power.
Looks great
Durable Cone and Huge Magnet Weaknesses:
Honestly, I don't think I have enough power to the sub to expose any weakness.
To the same token, I'm pushing no where near it's power limits...It's a competition sub with sound quality, my lord. Similar Products Used:
Audiobahn 12" (lower level, 400w rms)
Lighting Audio (Competition, 500w rms)
With the same amount of power neither was a threat to the performance of the MA Audio 1200XL
