Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $180.00 from ebay

Strengths:
build quality and price

Weaknesses:
can't get these anymore

Summary:
Best sounding sub I have owned. Needs 20 or more hours to break-in but then will hit harder and lower than my eclipse, mtx, rockford and type r subs in the same sealed box. My friends single RWC 304 12" in a ported 1.5' box hit 132.6 dB with a alpine mrd 301 amp. measured with a coustic RTA.

Similar Products Used:
eclipse, image dynamics, alpine type r, rockford, mtx

Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $250.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Civic

Strengths:
Hit hard with rap tracks.

Weaknesses:
Maybe it's my box, but rock tracks seem to be blown out sounding... very boomy and unnatural sounding.

Summary:
I bought this sub as a package with a bandpass box and a directed amp. The sub hits well in the low frequencies, even with a sub-par amp. All of the reviews i've read seem to agree that this sub works really well with a sealed box and a decent amp. I thought about selling the box and sub, but I think i'm gonna try a sealed box and a better amp first.

Review 3 of 6 , from THOMPSON,MANITOBA.CAN.

Price Paid:  $250.00 from ADVANCE ELECTRONICS

Year / Model Reviewed:
 02 RANGER ext.cab 4X4

Strengths:
TIGHT,FAST,LOW,CLEAN BASS. VERY NICE LOOKING CONE AND BASKET AND MAGNET ASSEMBLY FOR INVERTED MOUNTING,NICE TERMINALS THAT WILL ACCEPT 7-GA.WIRE

Weaknesses:
DON'T JUDGE THIS SUB UNTILL IT HAS HAD SOME BREAK IN TIME,'CAUSE YOU WILL HATE IT, NEEDS THE JUICE TO MAKE THE MAGIC COME TRUE,NO CHEAP AMP WILL DO,THE INSTRUCTIONS DON'T TELL YOU ANYTHING ABOUT BOX VOLUME (MB.Q's WEB SITE DOES)

Summary:
I'M SURE THE BREAK IN TIME IS OVER, BECAUSE THIS SUB IS 150% NICER THAN WHEN I FIRST INSTALLED IT. CLEAN,TIGHT AND IT DROPS LOW (I OWN MY OWN RTA TO PROVE THIS)I'M USING AN ALPINE MRD-500 TO RUN IT AND I MUST SAY IT SOUNDS FANTASTIC!!

Similar Products Used:
ALPINE TYPE'R' ROCKFORD HE2,HX2.

Review 4 of 6 , from Orlando

Price Paid:  $76.00 from Ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001/Subaru

Strengths:
If you want a real review on this sub click on the link: http://www.carsound.com/reviews/subs/MBQuart_RWC_304.html This helped me make up my mind on what subs I wanted. Plus they are MBQuart made so you know they have some quality to them.

Weaknesses:
As stated previously, read the review in the link I provided, has all the good info there (as well as the bad)

Summary:
I just wanted to say to the moron that posted the last review. If you don't have anything good to say don't say anything. However you not only violated that rule of thumb but you also made yourself look extremely uneducated by trying to confusing the first reviewer's comments on how loud his car was with the problem of severe trunk rattle. I've heard these subs in the flesh...I've been in the car audio industry for years and I can say that these subs are definately worth a try. They maintain tonal balance, while offering a good dose of "quad maximus". Pay no attention to the fool who made the comment prior to mine, it's obvious he didn't understand the previous reviewers comments on how loud his system was.

Review 5 of 6 , from kincaid, illinois

Price Paid:  $0.00 from no were

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Strengths:
i suppose they would get kinda loud if you had 4 of them(wouldnt recoomend any less)

Weaknesses:
you could get 100x better for 600 bucks

Summary:
you dont hit that hard with those subs number 1... number 2... hearing you from 1/2 a mile away is actually a bad thing because thats just air getting out witch = a loss in spl a major one infact.... rammaatt helps dramatically and so does bequiet(i dont prefer dynomat... dont like it and its 2 expensive) so besides sealing up your doors and windows... this will be the best way 2 go

Similar Products Used:
dd's, power hx2's, strokers, inhumans, rfl's(puke, suck) i havent owned all of these except for the powers and the dd's
