Price Paid:  $75.00 from Friend

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 Pioneer TS-W2000SPL

Strengths:
These things are incredible. ive got a pair of them in a generic 12" box and powered by a 1500watt, 2 channel audiobahn amp. They are also runnin with Rockford Fosgate 5.25"s and 6x9s. And ive got a fairly cheap panasonic, 160 watt deck. without a doubt, its the best setup i have ever had. generic boxes definitely arent the way to go in most situations, but i definitely dont need anything more. these babies give me all i could want and more. they will shake houses as you drive by. i was fortunate enough to rip a broke guy off and got the pair of mine for $150. but if i had to, i would definitely pay full price for these subs.

Weaknesses:
If you like to listen hard rock or heavy metal music that has double kick in it alot, maybe these arent the best option. they seem like they dont have a very quick response to really fast bass hits. other than that though, they have treated me very well.

Summary:
overall, i would recommend these to anyone. they are an outstanding buy. no doubt that they are the best thing out there in its price range. nothing can compare.

Review 2 of 9

Price Paid:  $450.00 from PARRALELL IMPORT

Strengths:
I found them to be cheap to buy.I also discovered how little power they can operate on perfect for people with baby amps or little batteries. These would suit entry level people who want loud music with light bass. They would go good on a boat or batch as they wouldnt drain solar panels. Also the cones are splash proof not paper. Well mexico is nearly america for pioneer thats pretty good

Weaknesses:
When i first wired these up i was a bit let down i run them in properly using sutible power .so i tested straight off the head deck and they were moving fully I found the wattage ratings to be imaginary.Theres no way these will handle 400rms each on full bass full gain.full volume playing a bass cd. These subs are not what i would call tight cones or low frequency drivers also with those big magnets and weight you would expect more loud bass. 750rms/2000 peak. anyway my expeirences i finally modified my pioneers i used bungee shock cord poked through the holes of the cone tied around the magnets to tension the cone meaning it will not distort as much and give a good start stop bass. The terminals need lock tite

Summary:
Hi i bought two pioneer premier dvc 12'' TSW2000SPL subs made in mexico /Ive had them for a couple of years and got them as spare backups.I have read the reveiws on how great they are and how loud and low they go and yes huge magnets heavy and big vents and alloy basket.

Similar Products Used:
My most loudest subs are 2 power punch 12"'dvc rockford fosgates in a twin fibreglass ported box. im not sure how loud they go but better than most. With only a 1 year warranty they popped kput.I got a new pair of cones and coils free since then i had to fix myself using leaf springs made of fibre glass to stop the travel. Its not how much the cone moves its how much power will it handle rfr2212 /1000rms 2000peak.

Review 3 of 9

Price Paid:  $8000.00 from friend/family

Year / Model Reviewed:
1997 honda civic dx

Strengths:
Hits harder and clean enough; I never though one 12 would satisfy me, buts its even TOO much

Weaknesses:
Now I need dynamat... Is a bit weak below 35-40 hz, but PUTS OUT between 40 and 100, big time. Weight is heavy, if you are into performance.

Summary:
Kics ass.. All I can say, is that 'most' people woudl not be disappointed. Those who like their bass to make them vomit, well, get two of them.. I'm running 1 in a 1.75 ported q-logic, off of a 400rms(2ohm) sony amp, and it hits like CRAZY... Nothing needs to change.. granted i have a nice jbl amp powering 4 3-way infinity kappas, but it really came together when i gave the sub real power. I hugely prefer it to my 2x12 pionner 'regular' subs that i used to have, and it makes so many friends jealous that have infinity kappas, etc... it might not drop below 40hz TOO well, but a subsonic filter, and the right box.. it puts out.. I thing caraudiomag did a review and gave HUGE scores... Best sub I've bought for the money

Strengths:
It has a good price,Thay can take a beating, and thay look mean.

Weaknesses:
Their veary deep so i can't have them in a regcab truck but sounds wicked in a hatchback

Summary:
The best boom for your buck!!!. I don't have a lot of power running them and they still pound hard. im a installer and ihave heard a lot systems and most people pay a lot of coin on other brands but still not getting as much peformence as the spl has.The subwoofer speaks for it's self, it looks great, sounds even better.Just don't use them in a bandpass box.Two thums up pioneer
