Loud with some crazy excurion. They are very pleasing to look at. Everyone I know always tell me how nice the cone looks. Don't need a lot of power to sound. Weaknesses:
Distorts at high volumes, but still pounds. Not dual voice coil, and only has a 700 watt max. Summary:
This sub is insane for the price. I am using a JBL 1200.1 (Hard Core AMp) to power to of these 15" subs and it pounds. These subs are just as nice or nicer than Kicker Komp VR's, but way cheaper. I've had quite a few people tell me to down the system because it hurt too badly. I am running over 600 watts in to each sub and they moving almost an inch. Insane, considering how thin the surround is. But I have should have expected that from Pioneer, being they sell more car audio equiment than the next big five sellers combined.
